Cartwright’s renovation elevates cowboy cuisine to a whole new level, thoughtfully melding the essence of the original ranch with modern comfort and class. Cartwright’s signature brand of Modern Ranch Cuisine blends the flavors of a rich combined heritage from across the Great American West, all captured and reflected in a unique style that creates a true dining experience. Cartwright’s is more than just a restaurant; it’s a piece of history. Urbanites, locavores, foodies and Western stewards alike come for the food, but stay for the feel. Take off your hat and sit a spell – there’s always a place at the table for those who appreciate dining at its very best.
Founded in 1997, Cave Creek Candles & Gifts is a family business with history dating four generations in Arizona. Owners Steve and Roxanne Vise bring this heritage along with creative passion and a love for artisan handmade items produced locally. Roxanne is also an artist who paints with beeswax, a process called encaustic painting.
The variety and quality of candles, made by hand in small batches, make this shop a popular stop in Cave Creek. It’s a great place to also find locally made original art and gifts, such as luminaries, paintings, artisan glass, pottery, wind chimes, French soap, Soap Rocks, essential oils and beeswax
At the base of Black Mountain, is a handsome Southwest style building – the Cave Creek Museum. Its roots are embedded in the pioneer traditions of neighbor helping neighbor. Begun as an historical society in 1968 by a small group of volunteers, the Museum took form when land was donated by Frank and Hazel Wright, and the old Episcopal Church was relocated to that site. Donations and gifts of local historical significance poured in.
In April of 1970 the museum opened its doors for visitors. The Museum, a largely volunteer organization, represents the dedication and generosity from the people in Cave Creek & Carefree. It is a pleasure to present the pre-history and history of peoples living life in the north desert foothills.
